Dubinsky Elected Ilgwu President

David Dubinsky of New York City yesterday was re-elected president of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers Union for a two-year term on the twelfth and final day of that organization???s national convention at the Hotel Morrison here. When his re-election was announced Dubinsky received a spontaneous ovation.

The convention passed resolutions favoring a thirty-hour week and termination of limitations on immigration into the United States. Of twenty vice-presidents elected, eleven were from New York City. There were thirteen contestants for these eleven positions. The remaining nine vacancies, filled by non-New Yorkers, were uncontested.
