About $100 was gained for the benefit of an indigent couple, a blind tailor and his wife bedridden by a paralytic stroke, at a local card party. The party was arranged by Mrs. Annie Smith, Mrs. Anna Kasner and Mrs. Meyer Ferting, neighbors of the Jewish couple, who have been assisting the later anonymously for some time. Further funds are expected to be raised.
