Virtues relating to social conduct, sacrifices and spirituality were held up as “the triplicate duties of future women of Israel” by Rabbi Joseph Zeitlin at the confirmation exercises of twelve girls at Temple Ansche Chesed, West End avenue and 100th street.

QUEENS WELFARE COMMITTEE ELECTS RABBI J.L. GOLDBERG

Rabbi Joshua L. Goldberg of the Astoria Center of Israel, Astoria, L.I., was elected vice-president of the newly formed Queens Welfare Committee, which will have under its jurisdiction all the family welfare relief agencies in the borough. Judge Frank F. Adel is president. Mrs. Jean Smalbach was named secretary while Bernard D. Klein, honorary president of the Astoria center of Israel, was placed on the Board of Directors.
