Samuel C. Lamport, social leader, will be one of the speakers at the Young Israel convention at Atlantic City to be held during the weekend of June 22, it was announced here yesterday. His discussion will be on “The NRA in the Light of Jewish Ethics and Tradition.”
Mr. Lamport will point out the influence of the teachings of the Jewish Prophets on the Reconstruction Program. Charles Rubinstein, director of Young Israel employment bureau, will also discuss the NRA.
More than 500 delegates and friends representing the 10,000 young men and women in New York City and a like number throughout the United States will take part in convention deliberations. Plans for a membership drive and the raising of a $25,000 budget will be discussed by them.
