It is the duty of the Eastern Jews to extend a helping hand to the German Jews, who assisted the former during the Russian pogroms, according to an appeal issued yesterday by Rabbi Alexander Basel, president of the Council of Bronx Rabbis, and signed by twenty-two other rabbis.

The statement urges the Jewish Community of the Bronx to support the Dollar Week.
