Chicago Opera Unit Brings Lowest Prices over to Hippodrome

With the return of Alfredo Salmaggi’s Chicago Opera Company to the Hippodrome for a summer season, the lowest price scale ever offered for grand opera in New York has gone into effect.

The features of the week are: the first appearance of Grace Angelau as “Carmen” on Wednesday night and Emma Otero’s initial appearance as Rosina in “The Barber of Seville” on Friday.

The complete schedule for this week is: tonight—Tannhauser; Tuesday evening—Faust; Wednesday evening—Carmen; Thursday evening—Il Trovatore; Friday evening—The Barber of Seville; Saturday evening—La Giaconda; Sunday evening—Otello.
