Revisionists’ Policy Flayed in Measure

A resolution offered by Carl Sherman, chairman of the resolutions committee, condemning any party or group within the World Zionist Organization which takes action threatening to undermine the World Zionist Executive, precipitated this afternoon the first full-dress debate at the thirty-seventh annual convention of the Zionist Organization of America.

In the bitter, if one-sided fight, which developed on this resolution, Louis Lipsky condemned the Revisionists in harsh terms for their “deliberate, concerted attack on the World Executive.”

The resolution was adopted unanimously after all opposition to it, which had been half-hearted at best, had faded out.

The presentation and debate on the resolution followed a stormy session of the convention at which Rabbi Joseph S. Shubow, of Boston, presented a declaration of protest against utterances yesterday by Berl Locker and Jacob Fishman denunciatory of the Zionist Revisionists. The declaration, greeted on the convention floor by mixed cheers and boos, had been adopted at a meeting of some sixty delegates to the convention identified with the “Group B” faction of the General Zionists, and bore their signatures.
