There has been no change for the better thus far in the treatment of “non-Aryans”—Jews and non-Jews—in Germany as a result of the dramatic realignment of forces in the Reich during the past week, a survey by Jewish Telegraphy Agency correspondents revealed today.
Exhaustive inquiries in Jewish and non-Jewish quarters, including non – Jewish “non – Aryans,” showed that there had been no improvement, the same persons responsible for the treatment of these classes still remaining in control. Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels, Minister of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda, particularly, retains his important position from which most of the attacks on “non-Aryans” have been directed.
Assertions of the Polish newspaper Kurjer Codzienny, that Goebbels would be named envoy to Poland with the rank of ambassador were ridiculed here today.
As a result of the development, it was felt today that the Hitler government now exists legally independently of the storm troopers whose leader no longer is an official member of the Reich cabinet.
