Little Theatre Tournament Starts in Jersey Tonight

The annual Little Theatre tournament held at the open-air Alamac Theatre at Lake Hopatcong, N. J., will present the Livingston Art Players of Newark in “The Night Was Dark” by Ernest Hang, an original play from the Hungarian, as its first offering tonight. The Livingston art group was the winner of the 1933 tournament with their presentation of “Outward Bound” which was directed by Sam Seidler.

The tournament proceeds each Wednesday night for ten weeks and will bring groups from Brooklyn, Albany, Harrisburg, Easton, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Providence, Dover, Manhattan and Yonkers.
