Charles R. Walker, head of the Theatre Union, sailed on the Berengaria yesterday. While abroad he will visit Friedrich Wolf, author of “The Sailors of Catarro,” which the Theatre Union expects to produce next winter, and Piscator, noted German director, who may come over to direct it. Both have been exiled from Germany.

Mr. Walker will confer also with Paul Robeson in London, who is interested in playing the leading role of “Stevedore” in Europe.
