Magistrate Jonah J. Goldstein made a vigorous denunciation of race bias in a case between a Jewish and a non-Jewish woman yesterday morning in the Third District Court, popularly known as Essex Market Court.

During the trial Mrs. Logan charged that the Jewish complainant, Mrs. Mackler, called her a “damn Christian.” This statement was proven to be false and angered Goldstein. “Keep that race stuff out of here. We have enough of it on the other side,” he shouted.
