U.S. Envoy to Reich Told to Make Protest on Bond Moratorium

Secretary of State Hull today ordered Ambassador Dodd in Berlin to make a strong protest against the discrimination against American bondholders under the Dawes and Young Plans.

In demanding debt equality, Mr. Hull made the first formal move since June 28, when he answered the German note of June 15, announcing a debt holiday. Instructions were delivered to Ambassador Dodd today.
