In an attempt to surpass their counterparts in Germany, local Nazis have increased their activities lately. Display windows of shops belonging to Jews are smashed, anti-Semitic slogans and swastikas are painted on the walls of private dwellings and public buildings, including the local synagogue, the parliament building and the Free Mason lodge.
The “Politikon” and the “Extrabladet,” which the Nazis denounce as Jewish papers, are receiving stacks of mena### letters.
Police have raided Nazi headquarters here and arrested sixteen young people found on the premises, ten of whom will be put on trial.
