Herr Moltke, Nazi leader of the Southwest African Grey Shirts, who is on trial together with his colleagues Inch and Olivier before a Grahamstown court on a charge of having fabricated and disseminated documents tending to arouse the populace against the Jews, today offered as a “defense” to prove the existence of a “Jewish world plot” as outlined in the notorious “Protocols of the Elders of Zion.”
As his first witness the German Nazi leader called on Captain Beamish, editor of the anti-Semitic Patriot of London and compiler of a scurrilous “Jewish Who’s Who.” Captain Beamish testified that he had studied the Jewish question for thirty years; that he knew Hitler and other Nazi leaders personally, and that the German Nazis had consulted him on the Jewish problem because of his friendship with the notorious The-odor Fritsch of Leipzig, publisher of anti-Semitic books and once convicted by a German court of having grossly libelled the German Jews.
Practically all the governments of the world are controlled by the Jews, while the Soviet government is ninety per cent. Jewish, the English anti-Semite stated, offering to prove to the court that the “Protocols” were true in every respect.
UPHOLDS “PROTOCOLS”
Herr Moltke then read various chapters of the “Protocols,” the while Captain Beamish nodded assent. Beamish claimed that every plan outlined in the “Protocols” had come true. He backed his assertions by declaring that “practically all the landowners in England had been forced out of existence and forced to marry wealthy Jewesses.”
“All political parties in the world are controlled by Jews,” the captain declared, adding that an integral part of the “Jewish plot” was the “demoralization of the young Christians of the world by Jewish films, jazz music and the sculpture of Jacob Epstein.”
The Jews are a menace,” Beamish continued. “They have secured a hold on the English aristocracy, parliament and on other English institutions. I taught Henry Ford the meaning of the Jewish menace and I followed closely his utterances on the Jewish question,” the captain boasted.
He also declared that the “international financiers are Jews and have a stranglehold on the entire world. Rothschild controls gold, the Guggenheimers control copper, and the Oppenheimers control all the diamonds. That is why the Hitler movement was founded,” Beamish said.
At an earlier session prosecution witnesses testified to finding in the possession of the defendants a list of people who were to be executed if and when Germany regained her former colony, Southwest Africa. Every Jewish lawyer in the territory and a number of Christian Masons listed as “philo-Semitic” were included in the death list.
Dr. Nahum Sokolow, president of the World Zionist Organization, has already testified how he and Ward Price of the London Times had exposed the “Protocols” as a rank forgery based on a pamphlet directed against Napoleon III. The forgers had substituted Dr. Herzl’s name for Napoleon III and the Jews for the ruling French clique of the time.
