activities, the Dutch government undertook an investigation which resulted in his unmasking and expulsion. The investigation disclosed that Schneekloth was a parasite of Julius Streicher, overlord of Franconia and publisher of the original Der Stuermer, notorious anti-Semitic publication.

After the Nazi spy was expelled, examination of his correspondence files by the Dutch police disclosed that he had been in communication with the German secret police, to whom he gave the names not only of German refugees in Amsterdam but also those in London who were conducting anti-Nazi propaganda.
