New York metropolitan newspapers yesterday published accounts of the militaristic and subversive activities of California Silver Shirts, facts revealed by the Jewish Daily Bulletin April 6 of this year.
Wire services yesterday quoted the Los Angeles Examiner as exposing the avowed purpose of the Silver Legion to change the government of the United States by force and remove all Jews from public service. Subversive activities are carried on in the United States Army, the Examiner stated.
The Jewish Daily Bulletin, under the headline “Fascists are undermining U. S. Army,” exposed in detail the Silver Shirts activities four months ago.
Congressman Charles Kramer of California informed the Bulletin exclusively that Silver Shirt bribes had been accepted by Army officers in California. He gave detailed evidence of the military preparedness of the group and its aims.
The agitation for overthrow of the government and the fanatical attitude toward Jews were also revealed.
