The self-appointed task of Arabs and Bedouins, known as “the secret service” and in the Hebrew press as “the Arab militia,” in trapping and handing over to the Palestine authorities parties of Jews and Jewesses who attempt to enter the country without authority, is developing into a full-time job for them.

Seventy-five Jews were captured near Wadi Hawareth while landing from a sailing vessel, which left them stranded. Tulkarm Arabs were prominent among the spies. Further parties were arrested between Haifa and Acre, it is reported.

Authorities are preventing the volunteer guards from carrying out their work of man-hunting wherever possible.
