Ittamar Ben-Avi, well known Palestinian writer and speaker, and son of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, the great Hebrew lexicographer, left this city today for the Far East.
The Jewish National Fund has requested Ben-Avi to represent it in the countries he visits and to enlist their further support for it. Not since 1923 has a delegate from the Jewish National Fund visited the Far East.
He is due to arrive in Western Australia during August, and will then proceed toward Eastern Australia and New Zealand, and then to Japan, China and India.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
