I. H. Rubin, secretary of the Jewish National Fund of America for the past twenty-four years, has relinquisned his post in order to proceed to Palestine for permament settlement, Dr. Israel Goldstein, president of the Fund, announced yesterday. Mr. Rubin, accompanied by his family, will sail on the S.S. Roma on Aug. 24.
Connected with the American bureau of the Keren Kayemeth le Israel since its inception in 1910, Mr. Rubin, in point of years of uninterrupted service, is the oldest member of the Zionist staff. His decision to settle in Palestine is a fulfillment of a lifelong desire. He will be guest of honor at a farewell banquet next Tuesday at 6:30 P.M., in Trotzky’s dining room, Thirty-fifth street and Seventh avenue.
