The International Masters’ chess tournament, which opened here at the Onondaga. Hotel and which will continue the next week, has sixteen entrants, all champions in their own right. Among the entrants are many Jewish players.

Included on the list are Herman Steiner of Los Angeles, California champion; J. A. Horowitz of New York City, international master; Samuel Reshevsky of New York City, western champion; Abraham Kupchik of New York City, United States Federation champion; Isaac Kashdan, New York City, American grandmaster; Reuben Fine, New York City, Western Association champion, and Arnold S. Denker of New York City, Bronx champion.
