Representative Carl M. Weideman of Michigan, sitting here as a one-man subcommittee of the Congressional investigation of Nazi and other un-American activities, said today he believed Ulrich E. Staack, an officer of the Friends of New Germany, had fled. Called as a witness, Staack could not be found.
