New anti-Jewish riots broke out in Lithuania today. Sixty young Lithuanians attacked the Zionist offices in Kursnai, smashed the windows and severely injured an undetermined number of Jews.

One Jew, although severely injured, was arrested for having provoked the attack.

Earlier in the day the Lithuanian government had minimized the extent of anti-Semitic incidents in Lithuania during the last week and had denied that Jews had been injured in the “incidents.”
