Six Jews and a number of wagons loaded with merchandise owned by Jewish traders were demolished and looted when a fight broke out at the annual fair now being held in Pyzdry near Konin, Poland.
The row began when a Polish peasant attempted to steal a coat from the wagon of a Jewish merchant. The damage was estimated at 1,200 zlotys (approximately $264). Police who quickly restored order arrested a number of combatants.
