Divorces in Brooklyn have increased during the first seven months of 1934, announces Alexander Dallek, head of the National Divorce Forum. That means prosperity is just around the proverbial corner, if the Forum’s findings are to be taken seriously.
The League contends that when divorce cases increase, that is an indication that there is more money in the pockets and pocket-books of the general populace. When money is scarce, Mr. Dallek believes, unhappy married people must live together, against their own wishes.
