Every Jewish family on Long Island not already affiliated with a house of worship is being canvassed for synagogue membership during a six-week drive.
Participating congregations are Temple Israel, Jamaica; Temple Israel, Lawrence; Flushing Free Synagogue, and Temple Emanuel, Lynbrook, and Temple Beth El, Great Neck.
The drive is sponsored and supported by the North East Religious Union regional division of the Union of Hebrew American Congregations.
