The statements made here by Bernard Deutsch, New York City Aldermanic President, on anti-Semitism in Mexico were highly praised today by La Prensa.

La Prensa voiced complete agreement with the view expressed by Mr. Deutsch, and supported by former president Plutarcho Elias Calles, that the Mexican anti-Semitic campaign is an attempt to build up a political following in the country.

“To pretend to follow the path marked out by Chancellor Hitler and his brown shirts by merely changing the color of the shirt and ignoring Mexican conditions is such a manifest stupidity that only arrivistes or obtruse people of any complexion can affiliate with the Golden Shirt movement, which is as exotic as it is useless,” La Prensa declared.

Mr. Deutsch, who is travelling with his wife, left Vera Cruz last night on the steamship Oriente.
