The first report issued by the Reichs Film Chamber recognizes as the cause for the sharp decline of German film exports during the past year the “intensive boycotting of German movies throughout the world.”

Commenting on this, Today’s Cinema addresses an editorial to “Insolent Dictators,” which reads in part as follows:

“For twelve months you have existed under the enlightened but hardly dispassionate control of Herr Doktor Goebbels and his Hitlerite minions. For twelve months you have forsaken the production of films for entertainment’s sake in favor of those eulogizing Nazi ideals. And you have failed to sell the product of the consolidation of genius and artistic skill in almost every corner of the world. And you see the reason in a Jewish boycott of National Socialism.

“You make us laugh.”
