Refugees from Turkey Reach Salonica Destitute

Fifty Jewish families, who emigrated from Izmir, Turkey, when the Turkish government passed a law depriving Jews of the right to be artisans, reached this port today.

The new arrivals, who are destitute, were housed temporarily by the Salonica Jewish community in a synagogue and are being fed through community funds.
