M. Mockiewicz, a Monarchist member of the Government Club of Deputies, complains against alleged “invasion” of Polish soil by Jews in an article in his Vilna Slowa.
Mockiewicz quotes the Prime Minister as saying that the government will not permit the operations of the French financier, Boussoc, who is the principal stockholder in the huge textile firm, Sziradow.
As we are fighting foreign capital in Sziradow, the article states, we must realize that there is no difference at bottom between Sziradow, which has fallen into the hands of Boussoc, and a Polish estate which is bought up by a Chaim.
“We are hearing a lot now about Jewish colonization projects in Poland,” the article continues, “and we have already received precise information about concrete steps which have already been taken in this regard. The place of the big Polish estate owner will be taken by a Jew, a Jewish brain colonist or a Jewish affairist a la Boussoc.”
