Forty thousand dollars, or two-thirds of the amount sought in a campaign for Mount Sinai Hospital which opened last night at the Royal York Hotel here, was raised within an hour. When completed the institution will have 100 beds and modern equipment.

Dr. Morris Fishbein of Chicago appealed to Toronto Jewry to contribute, declaring a Jewish hospital is needed particularly because of existing anti-Semitism. Eight hundred persons were present. O. B. Roger is chairman of the campaign.
