Contemplated constitutional reforms in Poland may altogether deprive national minorities there of protection, The Times of London states today in commenting on Colonel Jozef Beck’s statement to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, in which he declared that minority protection is an integral part of the Polish constitution.

“The plan of constitutional reform proposed by the Polish government was strongly opposed in the Sejm debates by representatives of all Polish minorities,” the Times points out. “If the minorities were denied the right to appeal to the League of Nations, their opposition to the new constitution would certainly not be lessened.”
