Dr. Louis Gershenfeld of this city has been appointed chairman of the B’nai B’rith membership campaign for District No. 3, comprising Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia and Delaware, it was announced by Frank R. S. Kaplan, president of the district.
The membership drive is being conducted in connection with the seventy-fifth birthday anniversary of Alfred M. Cohen, international president of B’nai B’rith.
In accepting the chairmanship, Dr. Gershenfeld stated: “The B’nai B’rith affords the Jewish people a powerful medium to serve Judaism and humanity. It has for its platform the unity of all Jews, regardless of congregational affiliation or place of origin.”
