Polish-American citizens here today criticized Edna Ferber, novelist, for a “vicious, boorish, invidious and churlish” manner of writing as exhibited in her book, “Come and Get It.”
The Pulaski Council of Milwaukee in a signed resolution demanded a public apology from the publishers of the Woman’s Home Companion, which carried the novel of the former Milwaukee newspaper woman in serial form.
The resolution attacked Miss Ferber for her treatment of Polish characters and for using the name of Pulaski, Polish patriot who fought in the American Revolution.
