Jersey City Drive to Open Thursday

Jersey City will initiate a drive for the United Jewish Appeal on Thursday under the leadership of Abraham Lnekowsky, Abraham D. Hirsch, Harry Schwartzman, Rabbi Benjamin Plotkin, David Lerner, Isaac Gross, Louis A. Falk and David M. Klausner. A. J. Goldstein is treasurer.

A feature of the campaign will be an endeavor by its Women’s Division to raise 2,000 for the transference of twenty-five Jewish children from Germany to Palestine. Members of the Women’s Division are Mmes. L. J. Davidson, Minna Mahler, Elsie Elfenbein, Ben Gross, S. Reitman, Harry Boyer, Celia Levy, D. Zock, Anna J. Lowenstein, Arthur Gold, L. A. Falk A. B. Hirsch J. Miller and Joe Hyman. The Junior division headed by Herman Klausner of the Youth Federation of New Jersey, expects to raise $1,000.
