Assistant Probate Judge Oscar Caplan was appointed judge advocate of the fifth district of the American Legion by State Commander Fred J. Ashley. Judge Caplan is the first commander and one of the organizers of the Michael Rosenberg Legion Post of Douglas Park. He is president of the Decalogue Society of Lawyers, a Jewish organization with about 400 members, and is vice-president of the Lawndale unit of the Zionist Organization of Chicago.
