A new apologist for Nazi Germany was discovered here when the Rev. Alfred Weber of Hasbrouck Heights, addressing the Senior Lutheran Society, stated that foreign press correspondents in Germany have exaggerated restrictions placed on the Jews by the Hitler government.

“All the big department stores,” he said, “are still owned by Jews, as is the largest restaurant in Berlin.” And this, holds the pastor, who recently returned from a vacation in Germany, is proof that, like Mark Twain’s death, the story of persecution of Jews is “greatly exaggerated.”
