the chauvinistic and notoriously anti-Semitic Order of ’76, is only a distant relative, Frank Gulden Jr. declared yesterday. He said further that he had never met the Congressional aspirant.

The mustard company head took an unequivocal stand against racial and religious discrimination, and produced evidence to show that in the past he has personally contributed to Jewish philanthropic institutions. He pointed out further that he, as a Catholic, could not countenance prejudice, which he said might just as easily turn anti-Catholic as anti-Semitic.
