The B’nai B’rith wider scope campaign in Birmingham, Ala., was successfully completed under the leadership of Rabbi Morris Newfield and Jacob Burger, according to Herbert Kahn of Nashville, Tenn, wider scope chairman for District No. 7, and Simon Wampold of Montgomery, Ala, state chairman. The new B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundation at the University of Tuscaloose, the ninth in the United States, has been officially opened and is the rallying place for the 400 Jewish students on the Alabama campus.
