B’nai B’rith Plans Drive in Pennsylvania

Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania lodges of B’nai B’rith are making plans for a concerted membership drive, it was announced here by Frank R. S. Kaplan, president of District 3.

In addition to the membership campaign, plans are being laid for the formation of many new lodges in the western part of the State. I. M. Jaffe of Butler, Pa., president of the Western Pennsylvania council, and Leon I. Tolochko, second vice-president of District 3, are in charge of arrangements.

Dr. Louis Gershenfeld of Philadelphia is chairman of the district membership campaign committee. Serving with him on the committee are the following:

Herman Eger, Aliquippa; Morris Kaplin, Kittanning; Julius Arfield, Beaver Falls; Bernard Blumenfeld. Braddock; David J. Offenbach, Bradford: Dr. Max Brier, Butler; Dr. S. Skole. Ellwood City; Newman Barron, Erie; Julins Labow, Monessen; Harry H. Frank, New Castle; Leonard S. Levin, Pittsburgh; Leonard Pes#el, Washington, and Harry Baylinson, York.
