Dr. Ludwig Kempf, Nazi Consul General and dean of the consular corps in Montreal, returned today from his first visit to Germany in eight years, boasting that “the country is revivified and is busy and happy under Reichsfuehrer Adolf Hitler.”
According to the Nazi consul: “the Jew in the New Germany has all the privileges which other Germans enjoy except for restrictions contained in well-known laws issued in the Spring of 1933.
“If you travel in Germany,” Dr. Kempf said, “you will see Jews everywhere unmolested. Jews may be found in the most expensive hotels in the Bavarian Alps and in the fashionable hotels and restaurants in Berlin. Many of the Jewish stores have Gentile customers.”
