A drive for members has been opened here by Young Israel Synagogue, organized just prior to the High Holidays with the support of Agudas Achim Synagogue.
While the primary purpose of the orthodox movement is religious, its sponsor, Herman Eisenberg, states social and literary activities will be included in its program. Rabbi Irving N. Weinberg, newly elected rabbi of Agudas Achim Synagogue, is spiritual leader of the organization. It intends to affiliate with the Council of Young Israel Synagogues.
