That an “increasingly significant contribution” to the life of Columbia University be made by the Jewish students was the hope expressed yesterday afternoon by Dr. I. B. Hoffman, the new adviser to Jewish students, at a reception tendered to him and his wife at the Barnard parlor by the Jewish students and the Menorah Societies of Barnard College.

Greetings were received from Chaplain Raymond C. Knox of Columbia University and by Dean Gildersleeve of Barnard College, About 100 students attended.
