Striking kosher poultry slaughterers will picket fourteen Bronx poultry markets today to force the owners to sign an agreement with their organization, Local 440 of the Shochtim Union, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor.
Max Belkin, spokesman for the union, said yesterday that the market owners promised last Monday to sign a contract with the shochtim and then backed down.
