The Insurance division of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies of New York City, organized at a dinner and meeting in the Hotel Commodore, is under the direction of Ralph G. Engelsman, chairman. The Federation campaign will open on November 11.

The insurance division already has raised about $20,000 of its $35,000 quota. By January 1, 1935, the Federation as a whole hopes it will have raised $2,071,000 to meet its deficit and complete the budget of $3,655,000 for the year.

Chief speaker at the insurance division meeting was Lawrence Marx, one of the four chairmen of the 1934 campaign. The three associate chairmen, George D. Franke, Fred S. Goldstandt and Henry Sobel, also spoke.
