Organization of support for the fund raising campaign of the women’s division of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropies was the main business of the season’s first meeting of the Federation of Jewish Women’s Organizations yesterday at Temple Emanu-El Center.
Mrs. Joseph Brettauer, chairman of the 1934 campaign of the women’s division; Mrs. Julius Ochs Adler, vice-chairman of the campaign, and Mrs. David E. Goldfarb, who, as president of the Federation of Jewish Women’s Organizations, was in charge of the meeting, spoke.
Among other appeals were those of Mrs. G. R. Davis, chairman of clubs and colleges, for the Red Cross, and Clement F. Theisen Jr., in charge of the New York City campaign.
Completion and dedication of the Sea View Hospital Synagogue, provided by the women’s Federation for Jewish patients at the Sea View tuberculosis sanitarium, were announced.
Mrs. Goldfarb announced a meeting of organization heads for next Monday morning to support the women’s division campaign. This meeting will be held at Federation offices, 71 West Forty-seventh street.
A women’s Federation lecture course, to be given at Temple Emanu-El Center, was announced by Mrs. Morris Jacoby, chairman of the division of education.
