“The Menace of Nazism: As Sober Thinking German-Americans View Hitlerism.’ Published by the Friends of Truth, a society of Americans of German origin.”
The above words appear on the title page of a pamphlet being distributed throughout this country which contains one of the most burning indictments of the present German regime ever launched here.
The pamphlet, it is explained, “has been compiled by Cincinnatians of German extraction and one of its purposes is to bring home to all Cincinnatians of German origin that their first duty at present is to cooperate actively in keeping out of this country the maliciousness and unsavoriness of Nazi propaganda.”
The organization explains the motivations behind its formation as follows:
“We do not wish to take a more active part in the movement against Hitlerism than do many native-born Americans who vigorously oppose its principles. Possibly we would have considered more carefully than they do
