High Commissioner for Palestine Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope today received Chief Rabbi Joseph H. Hertz, president of the British Mizrachi, orthodox Zionists.

The Chief Rabbi explained to the High Commissioner the demands set forth by religious world Jewry on religious problems in Palestine, stressing particularly, the demands for a government subsidy for Jewish religious courts and government assistance to end the public desecration of the Sabbath. Chief Rabbi Hertz cited the fact that the Palestine government grants a subsidy for Moslem religious courts, but has failed to do the same for Jewish religious courts.

A reception was tendered Sir Arthur by the Anglo-Palestine Club. Under the leadership of Norman Bentwich, former Attorney General for Palestine, and Harry L. Sacher, noted attorney, the Anglo-Palestine Club discusses important Palestinian problems.
