A monument has been erected in the Jewish cemetery at Libau to the Jewish soldiers who fell in the War of Liberation. General Virsejtis, speaking at the ceremonies as a representative of the Prime Minister and the Minister of War, voiced appreciation of the services of the Jewish soldiers.
