A march named “Biro-Bidjan” and dedicated to the Jewish autonomous territory in the Far East has been composed by S. Cherniavsky, inspector of military orchestras of the workers’ and peasants’ Red Army.
This first Jewish march was written for a brass band. Its zestful music is described as depicting the new life of the Jew in the fatherland of the world proletariat.
