The question of the Palestine legislative council came up for discussion again in the House of Commons today. Colonel Josiah Wedgwood once more questioned Colonial Secretary Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister as to whether members of the council would be paid salaries for their services.

Sir Philip answered as he had on Tuesday that the question had not yet been decided upon. Colonel Wedgwood then asked whether that was because the Colonial Office had not yet considered the question, or because they were unable to find Jews who would accept the office without compensation.
